  • Living in the US once more & doing a lot to improve myself and build better habits
  • Still admiring other's costume wings from afar, brainstorming ways to make the creation process better/easier
  • While a handful of useful/relevant messages came via my "Contact" page, what I've got the most of was a variety of spam -_- so I've closed it & will be directing people to message me on my Facebook page (though I'm open to alternatives, feel free to suggest them in the comments below)
As always, I'm open to answering any questions people have - I love collaborative problem solving that results in a beautiful, practical*, physical product~

*Fun costumes like these wings raise morale and motivation, that's my story & I'm sticking to it!

]]><![CDATA[Slowly Updating - Open to Ideas]]>Thu, 08 Feb 2018 15:48:12 GMThttps://www.realisticwingtutorial.com/blog/slowly-updating-open-to-ideasIt's been a goal of mine to properly post my tutorial on it's own website, and while I created this one years ago for that purpose the amount of work it'd require has daunted me until now. But I'm tired of each tutorial page just linking back to deviantArt version - what if someone wants to download the reference pictures? Or use google translate to read it? Or only has a tiny-screened smartphone with which to view it?

So I've bit the bullet and begun the long process - a lot of work it will be, but I'm already happier with the progress I've made on part 1.

Still, it's more difficult to accomplish this sort of thing alone, and I'd love to hear any opinions or ideas about how the tutorial or this site can be improved. Should I release some of my back-burner wing ideas, put up a poll, and build on stream the design that gets the most votes or shares? Should I implement a forum or message board of some kind here? I haven't seen the need, since most people chat about my wings on their preferred art, costuming, or social media sites already.

Been here since August of 2016, and will probably be here until April 2018 at least. Won't be doing commissions during that time, but I WILL still be keeping an eye out for new wings, costume happenings, and other relevant/neat/shareable stuff.

I'm not dead, just busy. ^-^;

Gotta take care of the most important things before I can branch out into developing my hobbies further. I hope you all do the same, and take care.

Want to eventually have posts similar to Volpin Props blog, his whole site is simple but slick, will be checking it out more later.

Although his site is for ALL his work and business, and this site is intended only for my wing tutorial, hrmmm...oh well, guess I'll wait until I even NEED my own site (and make stuff to put on it first) before I start stressing over it. ^^;

NOW said wings have been shipped to Sweden, hopefully to perform in a music video by a band called Craw Craw Craw, who saw my youtube video of their movement & requested to use them. We'll see how that turns out~ XD
